Summary:

A review about a mod which adds three new light sources into Minecraft.

Are you tired of having to a lot of torches around your modern looking houses?  I mean, sure, redstone lamps may look a bit better than the usual torches and glowstone, but they’re more suited to your personal house.  Where you can kick back in your chair, read a book, and whatnot.  This mod adds in two (three for IC2 users)  new, more powerful lights, that look more suited to your factories.  They’re also a whole lot cheaper than making a bunch of redstone lamps.

Greg's Lighting Mod

All you have to do is put the lamps on your ceiling or walls, if your house is really wide.  The lamps work by shooting a 1×1 column of invisible, intangible blocks that let light off like any other light source.  The Unpowered Floodlight only needs a redstone signal to work.  The Carbide Floodlight needs water, Calcium Carbide, and a redstone signal.  The IC2 Electric Floodlight needs 1EU/t and an optional redstone signal.  The invisible blocks provide light with a radius of 15 blocks, excluding the center.
